Reverend David Hale

Rev. Hale was licensed to preach in December 2007 and ordained in November 2012.  Pastor Hale is passionate about proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Rev. Hale’s education includes a Bachelor degree in Ministry, Associate degree in Human Service as well as Course Studies at Temple University.   He is dedicated to making the Word of God relevant in the lives of believers, and building the Kingdom of God within the congregation and community, through following the leadership and vision of his Senior Pastor, Rev., Dr. Antione J. Hutchins Sr.

Reverend Sharon Best-Burton serves as the Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Assimilation at the Christian Unity Baptist Church where the goal is to draw and disciple people to the body of Christ. Reverend Sharon was ordained in October 2014. Reverend Sharon is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She is a recent graduate from George Mason University school of Public Policy and the University of Maryland College Park. Her favorite scripture is 1 John 4:8 “God is Love”. She is married to Deacon Linwood Burton and they have four children.

Reverend Ricky Burton

Rev. Ricky began his walk with Christ at a very young age, even to the point of acknowledging God’s anointing on his life by delivering a sermon at the age of ten.  He strives to convey Gods word with relevance, simplicity, and a dash of humor in order to teach the saved and unsaved how to live abundant lives through the Word of God.  During Rev. Burton’s college journey, God allowed him to branch out to use his gifts and talents in all areas of ministry to include Church & College choirs, Instrumental music, Public Radio, Youth Ministry, and even Christian Comedy.  His unique experiences as a Christian comedian has allowed him to approach the word of God with a refreshing view, while using the critical thinking and problem solving skills learned in the studies of Computer Science to ask hard questions and dig deep for answers.

Reverend Ernest Hickerson, Jr.

Rev. Ernest A. Hickerson, Jr. has faithfully served as an associate minister for 22 years, a marriage and relationship facilitator for 20years, and facilitated men’s conferences. He currently serves the Christian Unity Baptist Church, of Waldorf, MD, as the Men’s Ministry and Couples Ministry Leader.

Born in Camp Springs, Maryland and reared in the Washington Metropolitan area, as well as in Europe.

Rev. Hickerson received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, Associate of Arts Degree in Business Management, certified and facilitated training in the disciplines of Integrated Conflict Management (Workshops), Langevin Learning Services (Workshops for trainers), and an Equal Employment Office and Civil Rights trainer. During his tenure as Marital and Relationship facilitator, he has made a serious impact on the lives that have well attended over the span of years. Some dynamic resources have been explored to deposit spiritual and realistic relevance into the singles and couples in the matter of God intended relational skills, such as Two Becoming One, The Marriage Builder, The Five Love Languages, and Family Life’s HomeBuilders couples series Building Teamwork In Your Marriage, Building Your Mate’s Self-Esteem, Improving Communication in Your Marriage, Managing Conflict In Your Marriage, and Love and Respect. Many churches have been richly blessed to have such individuals and couples become the core of her many ministries.

Rev. Hickerson also enjoys serving men ministries, whom he has said, “Have helped mature, shape and qualify him to be a man’s man, under God’s anointing.” Rev. Hickerson, has served as an under-shepherd to the youth ministries, and have witnessed spiritual and numerical growth in many of whom have gone on to have outstanding college success and having achieved higher education, are now embarking upon careers and entering professions.

Rev. Hickerson’s love for servanthood is defined by the passage found in 1 Cor. 13:13, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love,” and his Grandfather’s quote, “Man at his best is still but a servant.” With the love for God, Jesus-his Savior, and humanity, Rev. Hickerson serves until he hears from heaven, “Well done my good and faithful servant…”

Rev. Hickerson is married to the former Lesia M. Williams and they are the proud parents of one married daughter, Devona K. Wade to Donta Wade, and also are grandparents to Saniya Kellis Wade and Savion Kole Wade.
